Pastor Rex,
You are the best!! You’re smart as a whip and constantly learning more, you have a great sense of humor, you make it relevant, and you keep it real, man! We love that!! We deeply appreciate you and your beautiful family and the vibrant church known as Grace Fellowship. Glad you got a much-needed break and special time with your family in Europe this year.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season ahead, including Buddy the money-hungry wonder dog (that’s one story we’ll never forget!) 🙂
Love in Christ,
Luanne Nicholson
Pastor Keener, I attended Saturday service on 11/10. You talked about “being in the season” in regard to the end times. You believe that we are in the season of the end times and you used the increase in the frequency and intensity of hurricanes as an indicator. I write this to respectfully disagree with you and I do it with research coming out of the “man made global warming controversy”.
If I may just quote one paragragh out of the book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism: “Data from NOAA’s U.S. National Hurricane Center demonstrates that the most active hurricane decade on record was 1941-1950. That decade saw twenty-four hurricanes hit the U.S; of which ten fell into the large storm categories 3, 4, and 5. Those major storms were most frquent in the 1890’s, 1930’s and 1940’s, not now. Two-thirds of the ninety-two large hurricanes striking U.S. shores between 1851 and 2004 occurred before 1950. There is much more information on hurricanes in this book and and many other sources. As mentioned, the most up to date and accurate information comes out ot the refutation of the global warming propaganda brain washing that we recieve.
With all respect,
Peter
Pray for me
Hi Pastor Rex,
I attended yesterday’s service at Grace Fellowship and you mentioned something that got me thinking. It was about running that “spiritual treadmill.” I understand your point and fully agree with what you are saying, but how do we balance trying not to run that “treadmill,” and what Jesus said about the gateway to life being narrow and difficult to enter? How do I get out of that “spiritual treadmill” mode while still working hard to enter through the narrow gate? Or how do I find the balance that God wants in my life?
Thanks for any insights. I appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Dennis
Pastor Rex,
I was moved to tears after the story you related called “the catch of a lifetime”. I shared with you after the service that there was a”ten o’clock on the dock” moment in which I made the wrong decision which was indirectly related to money…I made the decision to own up to my mistake and pay for the damages…I am not sure how this person will respond but I know that I will be right with God.!!! What an awesome and inspiring story about the fish !!! I will remember this as well as use this as an integrity check any time a situation arises which there is a choice to be made…Thank you Rex for your awesome gift of kindness when it counts !!!
God Bless….C.M.D.
Rex,
My wife Susan and I have had great joy in being part of Grace Fellowship Latham since January 2009. God is moving us again to Michigan where we will be closer to family and friends who are hurting and need love and spiritual leadership.
It was just fall of 2008 when we moved to NY from Austin, Texas where we had been blessed with a great Christian community that included Grace Covenant Church (www.grace360.org) and the Austin Stone (www.austinstone.org). Those are amazing churches with gifted pastors and worship leaders such as Chris Tomlin. When we left Austin, we were not sure we would find a church where we could continue to grow and be spiritually fed but, after visiting many churches in the Capital District area, we found Grace Fellowship and you. We will continue to tune in to your wonderful messages.
Thank you God for what are doing through Rex and Grace Fellowship!
We would humbly appreciate your referral to any churches in the Lansing, Michigan area.
Gratefully and respectfully,
Keith & Susan Nelson
Rex-
Good eve!
My name is David Hart. We lived near Charlie Riggs in Nashville when I was 6.
Per request of my mother LaVerne Hart, I’m on a search for the Riggs family particularly LaRue whom my mom loved as a great friend.
I know Charlie passed in 2008 and but have no info on where the rest of the family is. If you have any info you could share, I would appreciate any help.
Also, any info on my old buddy Bobby would be helpful.
Thanks,
DAVID HART
